This September, we crossed the Atlantic to bring our agave spirits into the heart of Italy’s bar community — and we did it from stand M02 inside Mexico Village.
On September 14 and 15, 2026, Puntiagudo stood among nearly 200 exhibitors at the sixth edition of Roma Bar Show. For the first time the fair filled La Nuvola, the Roma Convention Center in EUR, drawing around 15,000 visitors, bartenders, buyers and journalists over two days. There were cocktail exhibitions, massive temporary constructions inside the convention center for brands showcasing new products, and a buzz of excitement to see what’s new in Rome’s bar scene.

Our table was not only about pouring. It was about being with people who care how a massive 12-year-old Pulquero was harvested or how our decision to use Espadín “capón” changes the flavor profile of the spirit by concentrating high levels of natural sugars. People also loved to see the pictures of the maestros we work with came alive as they sipped on our other expressions like Jabalí and Mexicano. In Rome those conversations happened with Italian bartenders, European importers, and even some guests tasting an ancestral destilado de agave for the first time.
It was our truest pride and delight to see new faces showed up to our stand from a previous taster’s recommendation a couple minutes prior.

On the counter: Maguey Pulquero from Maestro Nazario Salas in San Miguel Atlapulco, Puebla; Espadín and wild-agave lotes rested in glass; and the process sheets we use to explain clay-pot (ancestral) and copper-alembic (artisanal) distillation (click here for a breakdown of these processes).
Behind us, the back wall told the rest of the story — piñas in the field, the valley, and the people who make each lote possible.

Roma Bar Show has become a bridge between Mexican craft spirits and the European on-premise scene. Places like La Nuvola are where curiosity turns into relationships: a bartender who invites us to their bar near Venice to try out a cocktail with our Pulquero, interest from cocktail schools to use our expressions in their classes, and new people now following along to see the story behind every lote.
We left Rome with new contacts, notes from the floor, and a clearer sense of how Puntiagudo can keep serving mezcal enthusiasts (and new mezcal lovers) that want something rare, traceable and honest.
If you tasted with us in Rome — thank you. If you are a bartender or buyer who wants to keep the conversation going, reach out through our site or instagram. The next pour is already waiting.
